About Us
Public Library Committee
The purpose of the Public Library Committee is to ensure that the Library complies with the terms of its Mission Statement and to ensure that it maintains its intellectual freedom and independence.
The Committee is made up of two Councillors of Westmount and three residents of Westmount appointed as "trustees" by resolution of Council. The chair is appointed by Council from the members. The citizen trustees are appointed for a three year term. Meetings are held monthly on the second Thursday of every month from September to June.
